How to set up Turbo IPTV on Android TV and Google TV

For TVs and streaming boxes running Android TV or Google TV, and Android boxes. Find a player, sign in with your Turbo IPTV details, and check playback.

Evidence: General guidance, not a hands-on test. Menu names follow Google's Android TV / Google TV settings and vary by manufacturer. Player examples come from IPTV Services's installation page. No model-specific test was recorded for this guide

First, check what your device runs

Open Settings → System → About (on some TVs, Settings → Device Preferences → About). Note the model and whether it says Android TV or Google TV. Some cheaper boxes run phone-style Android rather than Android TV; apps still work, but the menus and remote navigation differ.

Step 1: Install a player app

Search Google Play on the TV for the player support recommends. Apps built for TV appear in the TV's Play Store; if a player only exists as a phone app, it may be awkward to use with a remote.

If support gives you a download link instead, Android TV asks you to allow installs from the specific app you download with: Settings → Apps → Security & restrictions → Unknown sources (wording varies). Allow it only for that app.

Step 2: Sign in

Choose the player's server-login option (often Xtream Codes API) and enter the server URL, username and password from your welcome email exactly as written.

Step 3: Check playback and the remote

Play channels from a few categories, open the guide if your player has one, and try a film from the on-demand section. If your remote can't reach a menu, try the player's settings for a TV/leanback layout.

Common problems

  • “Invalid login” — usually a typo, a missing port in the URL, or the trial having ended.
  • “Max connections reached” or similar — another screen is already using your connections. Stop playback elsewhere or choose a plan with more connections.
  • Buffering on everything — work through the buffering checklist; a wired Ethernet port, if your TV has one, is worth trying.

Still to verify

We'll add the specific recommended player and tested screenshots after a real device test. Until then, confirm the player with support.

US, UK and Canada: prices are the same USD totals wherever you are; we don't convert them, and your bank or card issuer may add a conversion fee. Channel availability, player apps in your device's app store and programme times depend on your viewing country, so tell support where you watch from when you ask.
